During a survey conducted between July 2018 and January 2019, out of 1,001 respondents, 35.6 percent answered that the main problem that Pemex (Petróleos Mexicanos) had was the fuel theft in the country. The second most mentioned problem, with a 26.7 percent of the people surveyed, was the internal corruption of the workers of the company and of public officials.
