Netherlands: cybersecurity among manufacturers 2018

Within the Dutch manufacturing sector, in 2018, companies that were actively making electrical equipment or electronic products were more likely to use a VPN during Internet use than companies that manufactured food. The use of more advanced cybersecurity measures among industrial companies in the Netherlands seemed to be linked to what products were being made. Food, beverage or tobacco manufacturers used fewer methods to judge their IT security than a company that was producing motor vehicles.
