Preferred audio content among Italians 2014-2019, by type
Between 2014 and 2019, the number of Italian audiobooks and podcasts listeners increased significantly. In particular, the number of people listening to podcasts grew from eight percent in 2014 to 17 percent in 2019. As regards audio books, a similar growth was registered. By contrast, the number of people listening to the radio decreased from 79 percent to 61 percent over the years considered.
