Opinions on the Sardines' Movement in Italy 2019
The Sardines' Movement, Movimento delle Sardine, is an Italian political organization against right-wing parties' populism. The movement was founded between October and November 2019 in the North Italian region of Emilia-Romagna. The organization held its first national assembly on December 15, 2019.
In December 2019, the largest group of Italian respondents (25.2 percent) affirmed that the Sardines were indifferent to them. However, 24.9 percent of people sympathized with the movement.
A further survey reveals that the expectations towards the Sardines' Movement were various. Among others, 25 percent of interviewees believed that the Sardines' will support a specific political force.
