Number of Japanese residents in Czechia 2014-2023
As of October 2023, Czechia was home to approximately 2.58 thousand Japanese residents, the highest number of the past decade. The Japanese expat population in the country gradually increased throughout the surveyed period, starting at only about 1.75 thousand citizens in 2014.
The statistic, which is based on the information gathered by Japanese diplomatic missions abroad, does not include descendants of Japanese emigrants (nikkeijin) who do not hold Japanese citizenship. People with multiple citizenship are counted.
