Throughout the past years, more female internet users have instant messaged in Brazil than male ones had. In 2023, 93 percent of responding women stated that they had messaged online, up from 92 percent of the men surveyed. Enjoying similar popularity between respondents aged between 16 to 44 years old, this activity was slightly smaller among respondents of the oldest and youngest surveyed age groups.
