The current health crisis is likely to have had various consequences on the purchasing behaviors and habits of people in France. The purchase of Christmas gifts is no exception, and it seems that this year, Christmas shopping is taking a different turn than in the previous ones. However, in mid-November 2020, hypermarkets and chains were still the main channels considered for gift purchases, at almost the same level as independent stores, ahead of department stores and pure players, including Amazon.
