Deaths of migrant children in the Mediterranean Sea and in Europe 2014-2018
Between 2014 and 2018, 678 children died in the attempt to cross the Mediterranean Sea. Worldwide, the recorded deaths of children during migration amounted to 1,593. The largest number of records occurred in the Eastern Mediterranean.
