Most used payment methods in France 2019
This statistic shows the most preferred payment methods in France in November 2019, over a 12 month period. At that time, bank cards (either debit card or credit card) were the most used payment methods as 95 percent of French people had used it, by entering their confidential code. Cash was the second most preferred method as 93 percent of people stated that they had used coins and bills to pay for a purchase. 10 percent of people had used an application with code on their mobile phone as a payment method.
