One thousand Vietnamese dong (VND) equals 0.043 U.S. dollars and 0.039 euros (as of November 2019).
Besides collecting data from the respondents, the conductor has collected salary figures from job posts on the VietnamWorks database.
According to the source, median salary is calculated by identifying the median number of the salary figures in each job level. For example, if there are five jobseekers who earn respectively 10, 10, 15, 25 and 40 million VND per month, the median number is 15 million VND (the central point). The median salary is a better representative than the average salary because it eliminates the effect of extremely high or extremely low salary data in the market.
