Energy share of GDP by scenario Russia 2040

The share of the fuel and energy complex in the Russian gross domestic product (GDP) was forecasted to decrease by all three scenarios provided by the study. The energy transition situation, suggesting a rapid technology development and extensive governmental support prioritizing zero and low-carbon solutions, projected that the GDP share of the industry would fall from 22.7 percent in 2015 to 11 percent in 2040.
