All the three forecast scenarios projected a decrease in the share of primary energy consumption of oil and coal by 2040. The energy transition pathway, suggesting a rapid technological development, wide state support, and favoring zero and low-carbon technologies, prognosed an expansion of the portion of nuclear, new renewable energy sources, gas, and hydro power.

energy sources, supporting electric transport and boosting energy efficiency."
The energy transition scenario "envisions that in addition to rapid development of new technologies and their falling
costs, there will also be extensive governmental support in the form of direct financial subsidies, standards for producers,
ambitious targets, etc." It "projects that priority will always be given to zero or low-carbon technologies."
