According to an analysis of remittances in South Korea in 2018, students in high school and below received the most in remittances during the year, on average around 39 thousand US dollars. International students were in second place, around 32 thousand dollars. College students received over half of all student remittances in number, in value they received on average only 23 thousand dollars, the lowest among all types of students.
