According to an analysis of remittances in South Korea in 2018, the U.S. was the top destination country where Koreans in their 20s sent or received remittances from, with remittances per capita amounting to around 40 thousand U.S. dollars. The amount for the U.S. was much greater than that of any other top destination countries for this age group.
