Crime rate in the Cordillera Administrative Region of the Philippines from 2009 to 2014
(per 100,000 population)
The values are the crime incidents committed per 100,000 population.
Since 2009, the Philippine National Police (PNP) has adopted the National Crime Reporting System (NCRS) that is now being implemented in all PNP units to report crime incidents to the National Headquarters for centralized recording. Under the current system of crime measurement and analysis, data for 2009 was set as the baseline for future research, study and comparison. Thus, crime statistics in 2009 cannot be compared with those data obtained in the previous years (2008 and earlier) since the parameters were no longer the same.
For the period 2009 to 2012, the PSA computed the annual population estimates using curvilinear interpolation at decelerating rates, with the results of the 2000 and 2010 Census of Population and Housing (CPH) as start and end dates of the reference population projections.
For the period 2013 to 2014, the population data used is 2010 Census-based population projections.
