Gasoline-powered vehicles are the most sold vehicles in Malaysia, accounting for over 80 percent of new vehicle sales. Meanwhile, diesel-powered vehicle sales are growing at a slow pace. In 2021, the production of fuel oil in Malaysia amounted to around 2 million metric tons.
