Blind date event participant city tier distribution in China 2018
Blind dating is popular in China especially among those aged between 22 and 35 years. According to a survey about online dating in China in August 2018, around 68.6 percent of the respondents who lived in the second-tier cities had participated in a blind date event. Owing to the decades long one-child policy, a skewed sex ratio has developed in China. Many single Chinese men, especially migrant workers, have difficulties finding a dating partner.
