Offline matchmaking service user age distribution in China 2018
According to a survey about online dating in China in August 2018, approximately 19 percent of the Chinese respondents aged between 18 and 21 years had used the offline matchmaking services. Over 44 percent of the respondents aged between 26 and 35 years had been the matchmaking service customers. Owing to the decades long one-child policy, a skewed sex ratio has developed in China. Many Chinese single men, especially migrant workers, have difficulties finding a marriage partner.
