According to a survey from March 2024, 39 percent of young media consumers between 18 and 24 years old in Russia used online media publications as their main news source. The share of online news readers in the country decreased with age. Approximately one fifth of Russians aged above 55 received news mainly from websites of newspapers and information portals at the time of the survey.
