According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in October 2019, approximately 35 percent of 21 to 24 year-old respondents in Taiwan who never consumed non-alcoholic beer said they preferred other non-alcoholic drinks, such as soft drinks, juices or iced teas. Meanwhile, 18 percent of those older than 54 confirmed this reason for not drinking non-alcoholic beer.

Among a total of 7,612 survey respondents, 2,837 respondents said they never consumed non-alcoholic beer. Among those, 1,618 were female and 1,219 were male.
