According to a survey by Rakuten Insight, 51 percent of female and 56 percent of male respondents in Singapore stated that they chose plant-based foods because they wanted to try a food trend. In comparison, 31 percent of female and 30 percent of male respondents stated that they tried plant-based foods because they believed such food products to be healthier.
