According to a survey on plant-based food consumption in Malaysia by Rakuten Insight, 47 percent of respondents aged between 25 and 34 years stated they did not consume plant-based food because it costs more than the original. In comparison, 26 percent of respondents from the same age group stated they did not see the need for plant based alternatives to animal-based food products.
