According to a survey on plant-based food consumption in Malaysia by Rakuten Insight, more than 40 percent of respondents from both genders claimed they did not consume plant-based food because it costs more than the original. In comparison, 29 percent of both female and male respondents stated they did not do so as they were unsure about the ingredients in the plant-based alternatives.
