Main fintech sectors by number of startups in Central America 2020
Online payments is the fintech sector with the largest number of startups in Central America. As of August 2020, at least eight fintech companies operated in the digital payments business, while another five were involved in Blockchain. The fintech sector is at its nascent stage in Central America, though the potential number of fintech users is bound to increase in the next few years.
