According to forecasts made in 2019, a large portion of Italy's coast was at risk of flooding due to the sea-level rise induced by climate change. This graph shows the 15 areas where a flood risk assessment had already been performed. Without any mitigation interventions, 246 kilometers in the Po Valley would be at risk of flooding by the end of the century.
