In 2018, 68 percent of U.S. states had a documented and approved cybersecurity strategy while a further 22 percent had a document but not yet approved strategy. A total of 80 percent of states had a defined governance plan regarding cybersecurity which detailed responsibilities, policies, standards, and procedures.
