Distribution of Italians who emigrated 2021, by region

As of 2021, 17.7 percent of all Italians who emigrated abroad were originally from the Northern region of Lombardy. People from the Veneto, also in the North, made up 11.3 percent of the total.
Data about the single regions of Italy show that the largest number of Italians living abroad came from Sicily, Lombardy, and Campania.
