According to a survey on plant-based food consumption in Indonesia by Rakuten Insight, 43 percent of female and 35 percent of male respondents stated they did not consume plant-based foods because it costs more than the original. The second most common reason was that they find it difficult to find such products in their area of residence, according to 34 percent of female and 32 percent of male respondents.
