According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in February 2024 in Thailand, 78 percent of respondents aged between 25 and 34 years old stated that they have consumed plant-based alternatives to animal-based food products. In the same survey, 92 percent of Thai respondents claimed that they have tried plant-based milk alternatives such as soy, rice, almond or oat milk.
