In 2020, around 40 percent of online shoppers in Sweden did not expect to purchase any Christmas gifts via Amazon. Despite the increased need for shopping digitally as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, Amazon was used less by Swedish consumers in 2020, compared to 2019. Just under one in five online shoppers was planning to do most of their holiday season gift shopping through Amazon in this year.
