In 2019, temporary crops represented more than 93 percent of the agricultural area planted in Brazil, adding up to almost 76 million hectares. In comparison to the previous year, this area increased by 3.6 percent. Meanwhile, the land planted with permanent crops in the country saw an year-on-year increase of 0.7 percent, after two consecutive years of decrease.
