Over the first nine months of 2019, the volume of Russian crowdfunding market saw a significant reduction compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, falling to 5.2 billion Russian rubles. Looking at different types of this financing method, the largest volume was lost in business-to-business crowdfunding by more than 80 percent compared to January to September 2018. Between 2015 and 2018, the annual value of the crowdfunding market in the country increased tenfold.

According to the source, the Central Bank of Russia includes the data only of those market companies which voluntarily provided it, which would change on January 1, 2020 when it would start regulating the segment.
