Overall, food purchasing habits in Italy varied between 2017 and 2018. Indeed, 65.57 percent of the households participating in the survey asserted that the food they purchased in 2018 had the same quantity and/or quality as that bought during the previous year. Nevertheless, almost 32 percent of the Italian families said that the food quality and/or quantity decreased between 2017 and 2018.
