According to a 2024 survey conducted by Rakuten Insight, 33 percent of respondents in the Philippines identified cost as the leading reason for them not to eat plant-based food alternatives. Meanwhile, 21 percent said they do not see the need for plant-based alternatives to animal-based food products.
