In 2021, a survey was conducted among Italian families on personal care and hygiene products' expenditure trends. According to data, 67.4 percent of the households in the North-West and 73.9 percent of those in the North-East said that they purchased the same amount and/or same quality as the year before. By contrast, more than 50 percent of the families living in the South asserted that they purchased less and/or worse quality products in 2021.
