In 2022, daily smokers in Spain reached about 7.9 million people. That year, the autonomous community of Andalusia ranked as the region with the highest number of daily smokers in the country, with more than 1.4 million individuals. Catalonia followed, with over 1.3 people who smoked daily. As of 2022, nearly six out of ten daily smokers were men in the European country.
