In 2022, the number of daily smokers in Spain reached approximately 7.9 million people, a decrease compared to the values reported in previous years. By gender, around 4.5 million individuals, or 57 percent of the total daily smokers, were men in the European country, whereas women accounted for over 3.3 million daily smokers as of that year.
