England: cancer treatment starting within two months of referral 2010-2021
Around 71 percent of cancer patients in England in January 2021 started treatment for cancer within two months (62 days) of the GP referral. The NHS target is that 85 percent of patients should receive a first treatment for cancer within two months of referral. The last time this target was met, and at least 85 percent of cancer patients started treatment within two months, was in December 2015.
