In 2022, there were approximately 263.79 thousand private hospital beds in Brazil, out of which nearly 46 percent, or about 120.67 thousand beds, were concentrated in the Southeast region of Brazil. Similarly, that year, approximately 41 percent of private hospitals in the country were located in the Southeast region, while the North was the region with fewer private hospitals and hospital beds, which amounted to about 10.93 thousand units in 2022.
