From 2009 to 2022, in the region of Brussels-capital, between 180 to 260 racism and xenophobia cases were registered by the federal police each year. For instance, the Belgian police registered 182 cases of racism and xenophobia in 2022. Furthermore, with 256 cases registered, the number of such offenses peaked in 2009. Nonetheless, the number of offenses in police reports rely solely on the reported cases.
