Approximately 54 percent of male respondents and 59 percent of female respondents in Japan would watch the games of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics either on TV or at the game venues, according to a survey conducted in November 2018. Around 56 percent of all respondents were somewhat interested in watching the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo.
