In a survey conducted in Australia in 2019, regarding which methods parents and caregivers believed were the most effective in preventing children from getting colds, 46 percent of the respondents stated that they believed that washing hands frequently was the most effective way to prevent colds. Contrastingly, only three percent of parents and caregivers stated that taking multivitamins was the most effective way to prevent children from catching colds in Australia.
