In 2018, the sales of men's lipstick products on Chinese online shopping website Tmall increased by 278 percent compared to the previous year, whereas overall sales of lipstick on Tmall grew by 143 percent. The soaring growth in sales of male beauty products indicated Chinese male customers became an emerging group in the cosmetics market.
