In 2019, over 459 thousand women in Australia, aged between 25 and 34 years old visited a pharmacist or chemist for advice during the last 12 months. This was dramatically higher than the age group 85 years and over, in which only 53 thousand women had visited a pharmacist or chemist in the last 12 months in Australia. The pharmaceutical industry in Australia is expanding economically, with expectations for it to increase significantly within the upcoming years.
