Digital book revenue in Russia 2013-2022
Russia's digital book market size amounted to 10.9 billion Russian rubles in 2022, which was almost 10 times higher than the figure from 2013. Compared to 2021, the revenue was increased by around four percent. Digital books are a steadily growing segment of the Russian book industry.

B2C e-books are the most successful digital book segment in terms of revenue in Russia, followed by B2C audiobooks and B2B electronic library systems. In 2022, B2C e-book sales across the country were forecast at 7.05 billion Russian rubles. In total, the number of e-book readers in Russia was expected to reach nearly 21 million in 2021, which was over twice as low as the print book reader count.
Most popular digital book platforms in Russia and the CIS
The leader in the digital book market in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) is the Russian company LitRes. Other major companies include the Ukrainian crowd-publishing platform Litnet (registered in Cyprus); MyBook, part of LitRes Group; and Storytel, a Swedish audiobook platform.
