Chinese tourists traveling in Taiwan 2018, by tour type
In 2018, around 48.2 percent of the Chinese tourists took a package tour when traveling to Taiwan. In the first half of 2019, about 1.68 million people from mainland China visited Taiwan. In the end of July 2019, the Chinese government suspended individual travel visa to Taiwan. This would further lower the amount of Chinese tourists in Taiwan.
