According to a survey on Chinese outbound travel in August 2019, Southeast Asia and South Asia were the top travel regions for Chinese tourists, accounting for around 54.8 percent of the Chinese respondents. However, the popularity of Europe, Australia, Africa, and the Middle East has been increasing in recent years.
