Glastonbury Festival: tickets sell-out time 2011-2020

Glastonbury Festival is one of the most popular music and performing arts festivals in the world. Given the hype surrounding the festival, it is hardly surprising how quickly tickets sell out every year. The 2020 event sold out in just 33 minutes. Back in 2011, it took 4 hours for tickets to sell out.

Worthy acts take to the stage

The four-day event, held at the end of June, takes place at Worthy Farm in the Southwest of the United Kingdom. Since the first Glastonbury Festival in 1970, many big names have graced the outdoor stages. Headliners have included David Bowie, Oasis, Arctic Monkeys, Kanye West, and Stormzy. The full line-up for the 2020 event is yet to be released, but Paul McCartney, the second richest musician in the UK, has already been confirmed as a headliner.

Glastonbury ticket prices rise

As the time it takes for tickets to sell out decreases, the cost of a ticket has increased. The price festival-goers are paying for a ticket to the 2020 Glastonbury event is 265 British pounds (not including an extra five pound booking fee).
