In 2023, there were 332 documented HIV infections in Norway. The most common route of transmission of HIV infections recorded was through heterosexual contact transmitted before arriving to or outside of Norway, which accounted for 123 cases. The category which accounted for the second-highest number was either unknown or not in the documented categories.
