The number of outbound trips from the Netherlands grew by eight percent in 2023 over the previous year. Overall, the number of trips abroad for personal reasons exceeded 23 million in 2023, reaching its highest figure to date. In contrast, trips abroad for professional and business reasons remained below the figures reported before the impact of COVID-19, totaling 1.8 million in 2023.
